If you live or work around Grove Street, you can walk to us. Charming Smile Dental is at 115 Christopher Columbus Drive, in the Medical Arts Plaza building, directly opposite the Grove Pointe garage. From the PATH turnstiles it is about a two-minute walk, and you never have to cross a main road.
That matters more than it sounds. Most people put off the dentist because of the travel, not the treatment. When the office is on your way home, a cleaning stops being an afternoon off work and becomes a stop on the walk back to your apartment.
Walking here from the Grove Street PATH station
- Leave the station by the Christopher Columbus Drive exit, on the Grove Pointe side.
- Turn right and walk west along Christopher Columbus Drive, away from Grove Street.
- We are at number 115, in the Medical Arts Plaza building. Take the elevator to Suite 200.
If you are coming by car, the Grove Pointe garage at 100 Christopher Columbus Drive is across the road. There are several more within a couple of blocks, including garages on Montgomery Street and First Street.
Why people around Grove Street come to us
Charming Smile Dental has more than 880 reviews on Google and an average of 4.8 stars. That is one of the largest bodies of patient feedback of any dental office in downtown Jersey City, and it was built one visit at a time over many years in the same building.
Dr. Singal earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the New York University College of Dentistry. She treats patients herself rather than passing them between providers, so the person who plans your treatment is the person who carries it out.
The other reason is simpler. We handle nearly everything in one place. Most offices this size send you elsewhere for root canals, implants or braces. Here, a cleaning, a crown, a root canal, an implant and Invisalign all happen in the same chair with the same dentist.
What we can do for you
- Check-ups, cleanings and preventive screenings
- Fillings, crowns and bridges
- Root canal treatment
- Dental implants, dentures and partial dentures
- Invisalign, clear braces and orthodontics
- Veneers, teeth whitening and cosmetic dentistry
- Gum disease treatment
- Extractions
- Emergency dental care

Insurance and paying
We take most major PPO dental plans. We do not take Medicaid, plans through the state, or any DHMO or DMO plan. If you are not sure which kind you have, call us with your card in front of you and we will tell you in a minute.
If you have no insurance at all, that is not a problem. We accept cash, debit and all major credit cards, and we offer CareCredit so larger treatment can be spread over time. Ask for the cost before you agree to anything. You should never leave a dental office unsure what you are about to be charged.
